Dear NLN Affiliate,
As the old saying goes, the only thing constant is change. This adage has proven true as we enter a new year at the National Lymphedema Network. My name is Dan Karadsheh, and I have been on the NLN Board of Directors for the past two and a half years. I have stepped in as Interim CEO to facilitate the transition, working with the incredibly talented and committed NLN staff and volunteers, and knowing there is a strong foundation to build upon.
As we look ahead to a new year, there is a lot to be excited about as part of the NLN:
Education. There will be many opportunities to learn from thought leaders, expert clinicians, and industry partners about best practices and the latest modalities. Many of these opportunities will offer CEU credit.
Collaboration. Plans are being made to create spaces for sharing ideas, clinical challenges, and to just encourage each other in our practice of treating Lymphedema patients, or as patients, living with Lymphedema. These opportunities will be both virtual as well as in-person.
Resources. The Garment Fund, employment opportunities, and the latest news from the world of Lymphedema are some of the valuable resources you will hear more about in 2024.
The staff and Board of the NLN are looking at several ways to provide additional value to the member clinicians through added offerings. We value your input on this topic. If you have a suggestion or comment, we value your thoughts. Please email us at nln@lymphnet.org.
We are excited for the year ahead. Thank you for being part of the NLN. If you're new – welcome! If you've been here a little while, your experience and wisdom is appreciated! Tell a colleague and invite them to join. The NLN exists to empower clinicians to provide the best care possible, both for their patients, and also for each other!
Here's to a healthy 2024,
Dan Karadsheh
Interim CEO/Treasurer
