Sugary Drinks Trigger Fat Storage

A small study conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture suggests that adding a sugary drink to a high-protein meal decreases the effectiveness of the body's fat-burning mechanism by about 8 percent and increases cravings for savory and salty foods afterwards.
