The very thought of taking Tamoxifen gives me hot flashes. In fact, 10 years after treatment, I am still equipped with a personal heater core. No more of that drug for me - but the future for new patients may be different.

5 Years of Tamoxifen Good, 10 Years Better?
I can tell you right now, that if the study on Tamoxifen that just came out in the Lancet is correct, sales of antidepressants to breast cancer survivors will soar. But given the side effects of this well-researched drug, I wonder if patients will take it for an extra 5 years?
