From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
Perhaps someday, chemobrain will be preventable. But then, I won't have an excuse for forgetting things! A new study confirms that chemo can affect your memory and sense of direction.

Chemobrain Affects Breast Cancer Patients
I kept going to work during my chemo treatments, but gradually I had a harder time with anything printed. Understanding something in text didn't always come easy. And then I'd be driving home, and forget which turn to take. My memory eventually got better, but I still blame the chemo. New research backs up the suspicion that chemo messes with your head.

Coping With Your Brain on Chemo
There were days during my chemo treatments that I felt about 90 years old. My entire person ran in slow motion, but especially my brain. There are some easy things you can do to cope with it. My fave is taking hot tub soaks!

Before Your First Chemo Treatment
It was very overwhelming for me to enter the chemo room and sit in a patient's chair. I felt awkward and scared, didn't like the chatty video they made me watch, and I just wanted to run away. Pay attention to what you eat and drink before an infusion, and make sure you know what to expect. That alone can lower your stress levels.

Be a Chemo Support Buddy
My husband went with me to each chemo date until things started to go smoothly. He kept me calm and prevented me from walking out. Here are 10 ways to support someone when they are in the chemo room.
