There's a memorable nurse in the Stephen King movie, "Misery" who takes special care of a snow-bound novelist. Kathy Bates played that nurse, Annie Wilkes, as a psychotic, obsessive "number one fan." Let's hope that while Bates was recently in the hospital, none of her nurses measured up to Annie!

After recovering from a double mastectomy, Kathy Bates got on Twitter and shared her breast cancer diagnosis. She's been down the road with cancer before, and she's pretty tough. I get the impression that she isn't focused on cancer, though - she seems to want another good role to work on.
