Celebrating Leadership in Lymphedema Care Dr. Atilla Soran was recently nominated for the NLN's Community Champion Spotlight by Berkay D. Berkay states that Dr. Soran is a physician with exceptional clinical insight, remarkable analytical ability, and a pioneering vision in breast cancer and lymphedema care. At the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and as General Secretary and President-Elect of the Senologic International Society, he has made significant contributions to advancing the understanding, prevention, and management of lymphedema through impactful research, education, and international collaboration. Both within the hospital and throughout the broader community, he consistently leads by example in patient care, mentorship, and advocacy. For many physicians and trainees, including myself, he represents an outstanding role model whose dedication continues to positively influence patients and the global breast health community. I strongly believe he deserves recognition for his extraordinary commitment and lifelong dedication to improving patient care and advancing the field.
Thank you for Dr. Soran for being a part of the lymphatic community and improving the lives of those living with lymphatic disease.
