Dear NLN Community,
As 2025 comes to a close, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this year impactful, inspiring, and full of meaningful progress. We also want to take a moment to reflect on what we accomplished together.
This year, we tried something new with our conferences - introducing three regional events, aptly titled "Navigating the Lymphatic Road Map," each focused on a different area within lymphology. We rolled out our new mentorship program, NLN Start Strong, supporting newly certified lymphedema therapists as they begin their professional journey. We provided eight full scholarships for therapists to become certified, published two position papers, launched our new member platform, and hosted our first in‑person Patient Summit. Through the generosity of our Garment Program sponsors, we were also able to provide 300 individuals with free compression garments.
To our patients, clinicians, advocates, sponsors, and partners, thank you for standing with us to expand awareness, improve access, and support education in lymphatic care. We are especially grateful to our generous sponsors, members, and donors - your support powers NLN programs, events, and initiatives that reach thousands across the lymphedema community.
Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited for a year of continued growth and innovation. In November, we will host our annual Summit with a focus on Whole Body Healthcare, bringing together diverse healthcare disciplines, both within lymphology and beyond, to highlight the essential role of the lymphatic system in best practices and improved patient outcomes. We will also reprint our Lymphedema Informational Booklet, offer regional one‑day in‑person continuing education events with our Gold Sponsors, add six free contact hours as a benefit to our Clinician‑level members, publish additional papers, launch our Ambassador Program, enhance and update the Expert Clinician Program, and more.
Thank you again for being part of the NLN family. We wish you a joyful and restorative end to the year and look forward to all we will accomplish together in 2026.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Williams & Kristy Newman
Co-Executive Directors
