2024 Conference Announcement

Announcing… Virtual (Part I) September 14-15 In-Person (Part II) October 5-6 Truman Medical Center Kansas City, MO The NLN is excited to announce the 2024 Conference - Evolving Lymphatic Concepts.  This is a 2-part hybrid event.   Part I is the virtual portion, and will focus on the newest developments in lymphology for research, surgery, lipedema, therapy interventions, and more.  Everyone is welcome to attend. Register Here Save the Date - Next NLN MicroConference April 27 Lymphedema: Establishing an Inpatient Acute Care Program The National Lymphedema Network is excited to invite you to participate in our Lymphedema Awareness Day campaign!   Lymphedema Awareness Day allows us to promote awareness of lymphedema, as well as honor the struggles that people living with lymphedema have to navigate.  This year, we want to hear directly from those living with lymphedema, healthcare workers treating people with lymphatic disease, and researchers striving to improve the knowledge and treatment for lymphedema.  Throughout the month of March, and especially March 6th, we want to highlight the lymphedema community, and we would like you to be a part of that.  We are asking you to tell us how you are promoting Lymphedema Awareness whether it is on March 6, the month of March, or all year round.  In addition, we want to hear your visions for the future of lymphedema treatment.    To bring this idea together, we are asking for just a small portion of your time for the following: 1.  Create a video that is one minute or less of how you celebrate Lymphedema Awareness, whether it is on March 6th, for the month of March, or all year round.  Be creative, but be yourself!  Involve your friends or co-workers! 2.  Attend a virtual recording session hosted by the NLN to record your vision of the future for lymphedema treatment (30 seconds or less).  To participate in this amazing event, please complete the form below. Research Survey Opportunity

Lymphedema Advocacy and Policy Advancement

Dear Certified Lymphedema Therapist: I am a Doctor of Health Administration student under the direction of Dr. Angela Burrell in the School of Health Related Professions at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. I am conducting a research study to gain a deeper understanding of how lymphedema providers in the United States engage in and perceive advocacy and policy initiatives aimed at improving access to lymphedema treatment. My doctoral study is entitled Exploring the Landscape of Lymphedema Advocacy and Policy Advancement: A Sequential Explanatory Mixed Methods Study on Provider Engagement and Perceptions. You have been invited to take part in this study because your perspective as a certified lymphedema therapist is valuable for understanding provider involvement in advocacy and policy. If you agree to participate, you can access the phase one survey, which takes approximately 10 minutes, through the following link:  https://redcap.link/Lymphedema (Click this link or copy and paste in your browser) Upon completing phase one, you will have the option to further engage in phase two by providing contact information for a one-on-one interview. Your participation in this study is entirely voluntary, and there will be no consequences if you choose not to participate or decide to withdraw at any point. While the research findings may be published, your identity will remain confidential. The phase one survey is anonymous, and the results of the phase two interviews will be deidentified and safeguarded.
