NLN Board of Directors Welcomes
Eric Ansart
The National Lymphedema Network is very excited to announce Eric Ansart has joined the NLN Board of Directors. His support and advocacy of our organization has been exceptional, so welcoming him onto the Board was a natural progression in his connection to the NLN. We look forward to his contribution to the NLN leadership team and to the lymphedema community at large.

Eric Ansart, President of Lympha Press USA, has served the lymphedema community for nearly fifteen years. He began as a compression therapy consultant for a Delaware Valley medical device company, where his passion to help those with lymphatic disorders and raise awareness to these conditions was born. “When this chapter of my career started, lymphedema was often misdiagnosed or overlooked,” noted Ansart. “To see the tremendous strides made in research along with helping patients effectively manage their condition is extremely gratifying work.”

Building effective teams, encouraging individuals to fulfill their potential, and removing obstacles that keep them from accomplishing their goals are trademarks of Ansart’s professional career. He holds an MS in Organizational Leadership and enjoys a wide network of contacts based on his varied professional and personal interests.

An avid bike enthusiast and recreational diver and surfer, his Northern Florida location is perfect to explore these pursuits. “The outdoors refresh me,” adds Eric. “Being awed by the vastness of the world around me puts both the challenges and successes of life in perspective.” He’s also known for his baking skills (just ask him about his homemade scones!) and overall sense of adventure. What he would view as most important, however, are his roles as husband and father to two children – his favorite companions for every adventure.

2021 NLN Conference
will have Part I & Part II
Thank you to everyone who responded to our survey. Of the 497 respondents, 19% would join us live in Boston, 33% maybe, and 48% would not. As such we have decided to format the conference so that there are two parts to the conference.

Part I is the live clinical portion in Boston and Part II is virtual portion that will take place over four weeks.
Part II (Virtual)
Mon - Fri 10/18/21 - 10/23/21
Mon - Fri 10/25/21 - 10/29/21

The first and second weeks of Part II is the didactic portion that is for everyone, including those who join us in Boston. The third & fourth weeks, 11/02/21 - 11/05/21 & 11/08/21 -11/12/21 will be presentations of the clinical portion that was recorded in Boston. The speakers will be available in real-time to discuss and explain the clinical techniques. Therefore, attendees who joined us in Boston will not need to, but are welcome to, join the third & fourth weeks for continuing education units. All attendees will have the opportunity to earn equal number of CEUs. The cost for the conference will be the same whether you join us in Boston or join us 100% virtually.

NLN Membership, Thank you for your membership support. We invite you to join us for this 1.0 hour webinar which will discuss exercise, one of the four components of CDT that is often not given priority like manual lymphatic drainage, skin care, and compression therapy.

Objectives: At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

1. Explain the physiologic benefits exercise has on the movement of fluid through the body and, more specifically, the lymphatic system.

2. Describe the relationship of improving muscle pump facilitation to reduction of lymphatic load.

3. Partner with the lymphedema population to create comprehensive fitness programs for overall improved health and wellness.

4. Consider ways to create work schedule and adjust clinical work flows to include and bill for therapeutic exercise.

The National Lymphedema Network is recognized by the New York State of Education Department’s State Board for physical therapists and physical therapy assistants as an approved provider of continuing education. This webinar is awarded 1.0 contact hour of continuing education. Certificates will be offered to active NLN Members who attend the live webinar and complete the short survey at the end.
