With Thanksgiving kicking off the start of the giving season this week, there could not be a better time to pause and say thank you to all the people who make up the National Lymphedema Network family: our loyal membership of patients and healthcare professionals, our honored donors and industry sponsors, our dedicated assemblage of healthcare professionals who contribute so many volunteer hours to further NLN's mission, and our tireless Board of Directors. Without all of you, our work would not be possible. Thank you for continuing to support the National Lymphedema Network!

What we're proud of this year:

Marilyn Westbrook Garment Fund – With our supporting industry partners, the MWGF has helped more than 1,200 patients in 40 states obtain much-needed compression garments since its inception in 2008. A special thank-you is owed to our MWGF Committee of volunteers whose work never stops.

Patient Support Groups – 68 active patient support groups in 31 states and a vibrant global support community online .

Awareness – We continue to partner with other organizations such as the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders, EveryLife Foundation Community Congress, Global Genes RARE Alliance Foundation, and Patient Access Network Foundation in addition to our strong presence with NORD and Lymphedema Advocacy Group to provide resources and advocate for shared causes such as rare diseases, access to care, and legislative initiatives.

Education – With the help of so many volunteers, we produced another well-received conference, which brought together the leading experts in Lymphology and related fields. We continue to provide educational resources, updates on latest research, and opportunities for CME.

As we enter the giving season, we hope you will consider supporting the National Lymphedema Network.

#GivingTuesday is a global online initiative to celebrate philanthropy, generosity, and giving back to our communities. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events called Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
