Perjeta For Pre-Surgical HER2 Breast Cancer Treatment
A panel of experts who advise the U. S. Food and Drug Administration has voted in favor of fast-tracking the agency's approval for Perjeta, for use in early-stage breast cancer. Metastatic patients have already benefited from this drug, which shrinks tumors.

HER2/neu Tumors: Diagnosis and Treatment
HER2 is the name of a gene and a protein. If your breast tumor is HER2 positive, you have some specific therapies to add to your treatment plan. Herceptin could be used, but if approved soon, Perjeta may come into play also.
