| | Radiation is getting more targeted, but it still goes in a straight line. That means that while it is aimed at your breast tumor, it may also travel through other parts of you! | | Breast Cancer Radiation Sometimes Harms Hearts Before I started treatments for breast cancer, I consulted a radiologist. He asked about my diagnosis, explained how radiation treatments could help, and then did an examination. After looking me over he said, "We could kill your cancer, but your heart might receive some damage and your left lung might develop some stiffness." Oh nice, I thought, just more risks that I wanted to hear about! | Chemorella - Quimiorela: New Book! I've always enjoyed comic books. So I was very eager to check out Chemorella, a breast cancer story in the form of a graphic novel. It is the almost-autobiographical story of comedian Katy Franco, and like her, it is bilingual! He totally didn't appreciate that. | Caring for Your Chemo Curls My post-chemo hair was not pretty but I loved it - after all, I had grown it myself! I consulted an experienced hairdresser, and she rescued me. | | | | Related Searches | | | | Featured Articles | | | | | | Sign up for more free newsletters on your favorite topics | | | | You are receiving this newsletter because you subscribed to the About.com Breast Cancer newsletter.
