One of my worst moments in a support group happened the first time I wore a wig to the meeting. One of the members practically yelled, "A wig! Are you bald yet?" We were out in public, walking to the hospital cafeteria. I wanted to become instantly invisible. There are things that you just shouldn't say to a breast cancer patient.
