From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
Lots of breast cancer survivors have breast implants - it's the most common reconstruction method. So when the FDA said they were looking into an implant-cancer link, I got worried. However, now I can tell you the details - and it isn't all that bad.

Breast Implants May Be Linked To Rare Cancer
Q: When is cancer in the breast not breast cancer?
A: When it's a rare form of lymphoma that has formed around a breast implant.
The FDA has decided to create a registry for cases of anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) that has formed in women with breast implants. It's quite rare, but since there's always been concerns about the safety of breast implants, the FDA is getting on top of this. Find out the symptoms and details in my blog.

Chemo, Needles, and Solutions
Some of us are needle-phobic. Can't stand to look when we get shots, and really hate getting needled for all the blood draws, chemo infusions, and booster shots. The solution may be a PICC Line or a Portacath. For extra comfort with a port, use some Scream Cream!
