From Pam Stephan, your Guide to Breast Cancer
Becoming and staying healthy is work: diet, exercise, and weight control all play a part. I wish there were a magic pill that would make this happen, but even rocket science hasn't produced such a wonder yet. However, I've done some of the homework for you - here's helpful tips on food, exercise, and weight loss.

Spice Up Your Diet With These Anticancer Herbs
Healthy dining doesn't mean that you have to sacrifice good taste and appealing colors. Look in your spice rack for some powerful powders that have been compared to some of today's cancer-fighting drugs. Find out how these herbs and spices can help you put some zing in your diet and boost your health.

Move Around: Exercise Extends Your Life, Lowers Recurrence
One hour of walking at a 2 to 3 mph pace lowers your risk a little. Three to five hours weekly of brisk walking gives you the most protection from breast cancer. Hey, even doing housework counts as exercise! Just don't sit there - move more this year.

Slim Down To Reduce Estrogen Levels
Before menopause, a few extra pounds are okay. During the transition to menopause, start losing weight. At menopause, get slim and stay that way - extra fat stores estrogen - extra estrogen raises your risk. Put a good diet with regular exercise, and you're on your way!

Breast Cancer Gave Me A Second Chance At Life
To start off the New Year right, I've written up part of my personal story for you. It's a mix of family skeletons, untimely death, estrangement and reconciliation. In short, a quick peek into my life after breast cancer, and the gift it gave to me. You can send in your story, too!
