Volunteer Opportunity: Join NLN's Patient Support Team NLN is seeking compassionate clinicians to join our Patient Support Team. This volunteer role helps guide individuals living with lymphedema by offering support, resources, and a listening ear. Volunteers should be comfortable speaking with patients by phone, participating in committee meetings a few times a year, and staying informed on NLN programs. Whether you're a seasoned designer or simply passionate about the cause, we'd love to see your vision. Your design should include: ✔️ The year "2026" ✔️ The words "Lymphedema" and "Awareness" ✔️ A high-resolution file (PNG, JPG, PDF, AI, or EPS) Selected finalists will be featured for a community vote, with the winning design brought to life in 2026. 📅 Deadline to submit: January 23 Submit Your Design March 6: Lymphedema Awareness Day Lymphedema Awareness Day was founded by NLN's visionary founder, Saskia RJ Thiadens, to honor the strength of those living with lymphedema and recognize the dedicated professionals supporting them. March 6 was chosen as it marks the day NLN was officially incorporated, becoming the first nonprofit in the U.S. focused on lymphedema. Since then, this observance has grown into a global movement, now recognized as World Lymphedema Day, uniting advocates, patients, and providers around the world. Submit Your Abstract 🔬 Research Collaboration Opportunity: Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage Dr. Martha Richards is seeking a graduate student collaborator to help analyze a large dataset related to reflexology lymphatic drainage. The project involves nearly 2,000 before-and-after body composition scans, including segmental ECW/TBW data to assess fluid shifts. The goal is to evaluate potential trends in lymphatic movement following reflexology-based treatments.
