It was wonderfully synchronous when the The Lymphedema Treatment Act was passed by the full House of Representatives on November 17, the first day of the 2022 NLN Conference. When the announcement was made during General Asssembly, all in attendance broke out in boisterous applause to celebrate moment.
However, the bill still needs to make it through the Senate before the end of this year to become law. There are only a few weeks left in this Congress, and calls to Senators are urgently needed!
Please visit the Lymphedema Advocacy Group's Contact Congress page to find all the information you need for calling your two Senators. Most offices have after hours voicemail, so you can call any time and simply leave a message.
Calls to all Senators, whether they are cosponsors or not, are needed. You will be asking them to make sure the Lymphedema Treatment Act gets a vote before the end of this Congress. If it doesn't, the bill will "die" and we'll have to start the whole process over again in January.
We are so close. As seen in the graphic, a Senate vote is the final step before the bill becomes law! Please help get the bill across the finish line this year so that lymphedema patients will finally have coverage for their compression agreements and supplies. Thank you!
